Brahmacharya Diksha
Brahmacharya-Diksha is intended for single, familyless. For people whithout children that living in the world and wishing to become sadhus or planning to become monks in the future.
The two types of Brahmacharya - Diksha are:
- 1. Brahmacharis who are preparing for monasticism, who entered the training and living in ashrams.
- 2. Brahmacharis who do not gather as monks and live in the world, but do not create families.
The peculiarity of the brahmacharis living in the world, and their difference from the karma sannyasis, is that they observe brahmacharya - celibacy practically like monks. Otherwise, their vows are identical to those of the karma sannyasis.
If one is not ready to observe celibacy, then he should not accept the status of a brahmacharya, but should accept ordinary karma-sannyasa, even if he has no family.
The conditions for taking Brahmacharya-Diksha are the same as for taking karma-sannyasa-dikshas and an additional vow is taken - celibacy. If a person enters monastic training, then he accepts it without conditions at the direction of the Guru and the mahant in the first year of monastic training.
